The Renfrew County Law Association (RCLA) is a voluntary not-for-profit organization of lawyers practising law within the County of Renfrew providing services to its members with a focus on three pillars:
We provide access to current legal information, technologies, and services through a hybrid collection of print and electronic resources offered through our private law library for RCLA members, Law Society of Ontario (LSO) members and visiting counsel. Professional and knowledgeable library staff assist our members with legal research, or by helping navigate the electronic resources. The RCLA supports educational needs of its members through continuous professional development programs.
We advocate on local issues to major stakeholders, government agencies, and to the public at large. The RCLA liaises with other professional lawyers’ associations including the Federation of Ontario Law Association (FOLA).
The RCLA encourages professionalism within the legal community building a foundation of mentoring and networking opportunities for the local Bar. We organize social activities and celebrations for members. If you are a new or a seasoned lawyer looking for something meaningful and rewarding to supplement your day-to-day practice; members of the RCLA are afforded an abundance of opportunities to get involved in their legal, local, and social communities.
